The Ravenna Township Fire Department is home to FireCom, a 24-hour communications center that provides coverage in fire/EMS dispatching for nine Portage County communities on a contractual basis. All dispatchers are certified in Emergency Medical Dispatching. The communications center is fully equipped with enhanced 911 technologies, voice record archive system and live-feed weather satellite, which provides early warning for severe weather.
